Monday, October 26th, 2009 What they got was so much more—a dream ceremony and reception where, surrounded by everyone that they loved, they were able to celebrate their union at one of the most beautiful settings in southern California. Rosie, like all intrepid young Latina brides, was faced with a zillion complicated choices when it came to creating the perfect soiree. One thing that needed no questioning, however, was the selection of the ideal venue. At her fiancés insistence, they chose the Trump National Golf Club on the bluffs of Palos Verdes for their first walk through. There was no need to keep looking; it was love at first sight. Making the evening even more unforgettable was music by their favorite Mexican band, Banda el Recodo. Being treated to music by a group that’s played with such artists as Vicente Fernandez and Juan Gabriel helped infuse the reception with the feel of their Latin roots. One look at the magnificent grounds and sweeping vistas of the Pacific, and it’s easy to see why they choose this setting to celebrate their union. With the elaborate crystal chandeliers and hand carved limestone fireplace, the ballroom lent itself beautifully to Rosie’s regal color choice of purple and silver tones. Rich eggplant and sharp silver contrast beautifully (while the purple subtly incorporates the sports-friendly couple’s love of the quintessential L.A basketball team- the Lakers). The tables were bathed in gorgeous rose petals and blooms in a color palette of purple, violet and mauve. The bride and her planner Andrea Hart selected rich blooms with low and high centerpieces for visual interest. From the proposal on the beach to the spectacular golf course “I do’s”, Rosie and Jessie’s wedding was a dream come true.
